In case you missed it, the CTRC hosted a webinar on DEA telehealth flexibilities for prescribing controlled substances on 3/20. This webinar provided an overview of the changes to DEA telehealth flexibilities for prescribing Schedule II-V controlled substances, including a specific policy for prescribing buprenorphine to treat opioid use disorder that was slated to go into effect March 21. After the recording of this webinar, the DEA filed a second delay with the Federal Register. The final rule for prescribing buprenorphine via telehealth to treat Opioid Use Disorder will now go into effect on Dec. 31, 2025. Watch the webinar below to learn how you can prepare for the change coming at the end of this year.
